About Passmores Academy
Passmores Academy is a non-denominational secondary academy school for pupils aged 11-16, located in Harlow, Essex. The school, which serves 1200 students, is part of the Passmores Cooperative Learning Community Trust, which also includes Potter Street, Purford Green and The Downs primary schools.
The school was previously known as Passmores Comprehensive School, and then Passmores School and Technology College, before its conversion to academy status in 2011 Passmores Academy appeared on the popular UK documentary series Educating Essex, which followed a number students and their teachers as they worked towards their exams.

Values and vision
Passmores Academy’s motto is: “Improving upon our best.” The school describes itself as “a servant to its community”, and aspires to ensure its students become "the best they possibly can be". The values enshrined within the school’s constitution are: honesty, openness, solidarity, equality, equity, self-help, self-responsibility, social responsibility, caring for others and democracy.
Passmores Academy believes that students should be exposed to a range of experiences in life, and that they should be committed to lifelong learning. It aims to prepare students for the future by making them independent, meta-cognitive individuals with adaptability, resilience and the will to succeed.
