The Bulwell Academy is proud of its heritage yet is firmly placed in the 21st century.  We aim to provide an education tailored around each of our students to ensure they are ready to progress towards their future as successful 21st century citizens.

Our sponsors, the Creative Education Trust (CET), provide a clear framework for developing creativity within our student group and deeper learning through ‘knowledge connected’ by introducing the values of creativity and design to enrich learning at every stage.  The support of CET partnered with our constant pursuit of excellence creates a wonderful learning environment.

The building has been designed to provide a nurturing environment to stimulate young minds, through light and open classrooms, quieter independent learning areas and state-of-art learning and sporting facilities.

The Academy is committed to nurturing the potential future economic and personal success of our students.  This focuses us on our key role in growing academic achievement, strengthening the emotional intelligence of our students and developing employability skills.

Our insistence on exemplary student behaviour provides strong foundations upon which all can thrive; staff and students alike. Disruption-free classrooms set the stage for excellent, enjoyable and purposeful learning.  But success is not just confined to classrooms. It is forged in theatres, on pitches, tracks, courts, in galleries and beyond.
