Fulham Cross Academy is a recently established STEM school situated in the heart of Fulham. We are quickly becoming the co-educational school of choice for our local area and have significantly grown in popularity over the past three years. As a result of this, we are developing our Pastoral Team and have a new opportunity to appoint an Academy Mentor with a core role of supporting our Year 10 & 11 learners.
The purpose of the role is to provide a comprehensive service to teachers and pastoral staff in the school, addressing the needs of identified students who require support to overcome barriers to learning and progress, both inside and outside school, in order to achieve their full academic potential.
Experience and an ability to be able to demonstrate previous contributions to raising student attainment through a proactive and practical approach to student support are desirable. The ability to use student data, ICT and SIMS confidently will be an advantage.

Fulham Cross Academy is in a fascinating position of augmentation; having formerly been a boys only school, we are nearly fully transitioned into a mixed school and have female students in Years 7, 8, 9 and our Trust Sixth Form. We are a STEM specialist school encouraging all of our students to pursue an interests in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. We cater for young people from the ages of 11 – 19 and we wish for all of our students to remain in the trust to complete their GCSE and A Level/Vocational education in our Trust Sixth Form, which we run alongside our Trust Secondary School partner – Fulham Cross Girls’ School.
