Bede's Trust requires an experienced and innovative individual to join us in January 2025 as our new Assistant Head: Pre Prep and Nursery at our Prep School by the sea in Eastbourne.

The staff within the school are key to making this happen and to allowing pupils to find joy in their pursuit of brilliance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day to day running of the Pre-Prep and EYFS, working closely with the Head of Nursery, Head of Year for Reception-Year 2 and EYFS Lead. They will play a key role in the strategic planning of the school and the implementation of School Development Plans. Whilst monitoring, evaluating and reviewing classroom practice and pupil progress; celebrate excellence; advise and update the SLT, identifying areas for improvement. They will oversee the pastoral, developmental and well-being needs of pupils within the Pre-Prep and Nursery, working in close conjunction with teaching staff, practitioners and SLT.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who already has extensive experience in this field of work, who has an EYFS background and is familiar with ISI and OFSTED standards.
