Clifton High School is an academically selective, co-educational, independent day school for approximately 780 pupils aged 3-18 years. Situated on a beautiful Bristol site, our educational offering is underpinned by a strong pastoral and family ethos. The Estates department is responsible for maintaining the School’s buildings and grounds to the highest standards, ensuring a safe, secure and stimulating learning environment for our pupils and staff. We are seeking to appoint an experienced, energetic and enthusiastic individual to join our Estates team. The Assistant Maintenance Manager will assist in day to day maintenance and repairs, as well as supporting larger projects outside of term time.

We would like to hear from individuals with a background in Site Management, general maintenance, or skilled maintenance work such as painting and decorating. Experience of working in a school would be desirable.

The ideal candidate will have qualifications or equivalent experience in one building-related trade (such as plumbing, electrics, plastering) and have a diverse range of practical skills with the confidence and drive to learn more. The role is also responsible for the operation and daily maintenance of the the swimming pool plant room. 

Duties include weekends on a rota (1 in 3) and some evenings in the week during term time. Benefits include overtime payments, work clothes, and lunch during the term.
