Boarding Graduate Intern, SE Boys - From September 2024

LE RĒGENT is seeking to appoint a Boarding Graduate Intern for our Senior Boys House, to assist with and contribute to the supervision and care of our boarding students. This is a residential position for the 2024-2025 academic year with the possibility to work during the summer with Régent Camps. It would suit a recently qualified graduate student looking to take a break after his/her studies or who is considering the teaching profession in the future.

LE RĒGENT is committed to character education and demanding educational principles. Academic quality curricula that are interwoven with extensive sporting, arts, and public-speaking programmes lead to the International Baccalaureate or the Régent Graduation Diploma for exceptional athletes and musicians. Class sizes are very small, language options strong and most graduates speak at least two languages fluently. LE RĒGENT INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL is an official examination centre for the IB Diploma Programme, DELF, SATs, IELTS and Edexcel IGCSEs.

OVERVIEW OF DUTIES

Duties are varied and tailored to the skills and ambitions of the stagiaire engaged but cover many aspects of school life. These might include any of the following: supporting our boarders, classroom or sports assistant, library duty, and accompanying students in sports or outings.

We are looking for flexibility, energy and experience working with children. The ability to drive as well as a liking for outdoor activities and sports is a distinct advantage as is a readiness to live in an alpine environment.

• The right to the time necessary for study as part of his or her educational programme if this is still ongoing
• An appraisal of his or her work by the Director of Pastoral Care both in the course of and at the end of the internship
• An end-of-internship report signed by the Director of Pastoral Care

Organisational skills, flexibility, energy, and experience working with children are required. Some knowledge of both English and French, the ability to drive a car as well as a liking for outdoor activities and sports (especially winter sports) would be a distinct advantage as would a readiness to live in an alpine environment.
