Location: Remote/home based with some travel when required

Salary: £37,000 - £40,000 depending on experience

Hours: Full- time, 40 hours per week

We’re the sixth-largest provider of specialist education in the UK, supporting over 1,200 children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities, and employing over 1,500 staff.  

We’re currently looking for a Business Analyst to join our Strategy team to take responsibility for supporting well-informed strategic and commercial decision-making through research and analysis of internal and external business data.

 

Key Duties: 

  • Create and maintain database of nationwide supply and demand for the services we provide
  • Review potential acquisition targets
  • Support business area owners and project management team with the development of business cases
  • Model financial returns and impacts of proposed projects
  • Analyse success of projects (actual vs budget etc.)
  • Support with Net Zero 2030 progress and other long-term business improvement projects
  • Support Strategy and Business Development teams with additional ad hoc research and analysis as required
  • Prepare reports on above and present to internal stakeholders  

 

Experience: 

Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate:  

  • Excellent skills in Microsoft applications – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams
  • Understanding of financial statements and ability to build and manipulate simple financial models
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and conflicting priorities and workload effectively
  • Previous business analyst or similar experience, especially in the education/care sectors preferable
