Job overview

The Emmaus Catholic Academy Trust (Diocese of Salford) is dedicated to providing an outstanding Catholic Education to our children and pupils. We are seeking to expand our central team and appoint Cluster IT Apprentices to support our CAT schools with the provision of effective and efficient IT support services, someone who is happy to be deployed across the schools within our CAT.

As part of the Emmaus CAT Central Team, the Cluster IT Apprentices will add capacity and contribute to supporting the day-to-day provision of the IT capability in our schools, with a focus on desktop administration including Microsoft and Windows, and the management of the individual school’s IT service desk. The initial deployment for this key role will be St Matthew’s RC High School for the Manchester and Oldham Cluster and St Anne’s RC Voluntary Academy for the Stockport Cluster, with the successful applicant then expected to visit other neighbouring Primary schools with regular visits.

This post would be suitable for an individual with an appetite to work in IT within the education sector and be involved in a fast-growing Catholic Academy Trust. Our CAT IT service will grow at pace in the coming years, implementing some of the latest technologies and services to our schools. With this, the role will also present an opportunity for progression upon completion.

The Cluster IT Apprentices will support the implementation of the Emmaus CAT IT strategy and work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure IT services meet needs. The role will provide support from IT colleagues within the team, whilst providing accredited qualifications through an accredited training provider.

Emmaus Catholic Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS application and will be subject to further safer recruitment checks, such as references, with ID documents retained on file. All shortlisted candidates may be subject to an online check.

Completed application forms and supporting documentation should be returned to alison.smith@emmauscat.com. We are unable to accept CVs or direct applications via TES.
