Job overview
We are looking for a Cover Supervisor. This is an exciting opportunity to join GLT / Brakenhale School and become an integral member of the Cover team. We are an 11 to 18 school situated on the southern side of Bracknell town centre. We are a community school. Our commitment to high standards and outstanding teaching has led us to become the school of choice for families in Bracknell Forest. Your role at our school will be to ensure the continuity of education when regular teachers are absent, supervising and managing students in the absence of their regular teachers.

Main responsibilities:
- To deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.
- Ensuring that students are managed and well-behaved
- Collecting completed work after lessons and return to appropriate teachers where requested
- Adapt the delivery of learning materials and support, considering the needs of students, to aid them in learning as effectively as possible
- In consultation with teaching staff, participate in the evaluation of the support programmes for students, contributing to reviews of children’s progress, including formal reviews of statements.
- Provide regular feedback and assessment on children’s progress to class teachers, form tutors and other professionals as required
You will need:
- Good standard of education to at least GCSE Grade C/4 level or equivalent in English and Maths
- Evidence of / Commitment to continuing professional development
- Degree qualification
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Effective communication skills – sensitive, compassionate and effective
- Ability to establish good working relationships with a wide range of people
- A willingness to become involved in all aspects of school life
