About the Cover Department:
The cover department is a tea of three, ensuring that students receive consistent, high-quality education even when their regular teachers are absent, primarily in the classroom but also in other areas of the school. They collaborate closely with class teachers to maintain the standard of teaching and learning. By working together, they ensure that educational provision remains uninterrupted and effective.
About You:
As a Cover Supervisor at Ellis Guilford School, you will bring your dedication to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning, ensuring that students continue to receive quality education even in the absence of their regular teachers. Our ideal candidate would:

- Have the ability to work in a team, collaboratively with other colleagues.
- Be resilient, adaptable, motivated and remain calm under pressure.
- Be able to build effective relationships with students and staff.
Requirements:
To apply for the Cover Supervisor opportunity, you must hold:
- GCSE English and Maths at Grade C and above or equivalent.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
You should have:
- Proven experience in classroom management within an education environment.
- Successful recent experience working as a classroom supervisor, working with pupils in either a class, group or 1:1 setting.
