Full or part time (we are open to discussion on hours i.e. certain days, mornings, afternoons etc)

 

Grade 6 (£19,103 to £20,366 actual pay per annum based on 32.5 hours a week)

Grade 7 may be available to teachers or those highly experienced in a similar role

 

Monday to Friday, school term time only (38 working weeks pa)

 

Are you thinking of a teaching career and want to get some experience before you start your training? Are you a retired or supply teacher looking to return to the classroom without the planning and preparation?

 

Ideally, we are looking for candidates to work Monday to Friday but we would consider a number of part time workers to add to our team - so if you want only a few days per week please apply as we may be able to accommodate this in the team.

 

Cover Supervisors support and assist in the education of our students, the role is essential as it ensures the continued education of students in the absence of their teacher.

 

We can offer start dates as soon as possible.

 

Candidates should have the confidence to handle immediate issues as well as fielding students’ questions. Ideally, you will have experience of creating an environment in the classroom that enhances learning.

 

Applicants should have a good general education and be interested in working within a secondary education setting. Experience is not essential, as full training will be given. Please see our recruitment pack for further details about the job and the school.

The Henry Box School is a large secondary school with academy status located in Witney, Oxfordshire, England.  The school has a catchment area of the town of Witney and many surrounding villages such as Ducklington and Aston.  It has approximately 1200 students, aged 11 - 18.  The Latin motto of the Henry Box School is Studio Floremus, which can be translated as 'By study we flourish'.  The site was purchased in 1660 by grocer Henry Box, who established the school in his hometown after becoming a successful businessman in London.  The schoolhouse, still surviving, and now a Grade II listed building.

The school has had a recent Ofsted inspection (February 2023), the school maintained its 'good school' status.
