Values and vision
At the core of Paulet High School’s ethos is encouraging achievement in a positive environment. Key to this is ensuring the school is safe and welcoming, and at the heart of the Stapenhill community. Students are guided to become inquiring and inquisitive thinkers with a thirst for knowledge, looking to the future while embracing tradition. All pupils are encouraged to fulfil their potential, both academically and personally.
Paulet Character is fully embedded in all areas of the school.
The secondary school participates in a wide range of sporting activities within the local Schools’ Sports Association. Soccer, cricket, netball, athletics, badminton, rounders and hockey are all played successfully. Students may move forward from school representation to district and then county level.
Ofsted report
“Improving literacy standards at key stage 3 has been a major priority for the school since the last inspection. Reading ages are carefully tracked. Pupils receive additional reading lessons and participate in regular reading challenges. As a result, the number of pupils in Year 7 who are not able to read at their chronological age has significantly reduced. Most-able readers are given more challenging texts to ensure that they continue to develop their reading skills.”
