We have won 3 major awards in the past year – for leadership, pastoral care and how we communicate with our families.

‘So what?’ you may ask. These awards underline our commitment to serving the families in our community. We are a key partner in ‘rewriting the story of Moss Side’ and the strong progress our students make underlines that they’re both successful and happy at our school. We secured ‘Good’ from Ofsted, our quest now is to become a world-class school for our global community.

Welcome to Manchester Academy, a vibrant, inclusive school and one of the most improved schools in the country, based in the heart of Manchester.

Manchester Academy is highly ambitious for our students and has strong systems to support this progress. Our curriculum and teaching model is based on Rosenshine’s Principles of Instruction and we offer excellent support for new staff and early career colleagues. Many of our leaders have trained with us and are now leading change across the Academy. Our ambition for our students is matched by the expertise and passion across our staff team. Our unique location in the centre of our city means we are well served by public transport and accessible without a car.

We have a detailed curriculum across all subjects and dedicate significant time to academic teams to discuss, plan and share planning and resources. As part of one of the most ambitious Trusts in the country, United Learning, we are fortunate to be part of a much bigger network of professional practice which complements the curriculum leadership within the Academy. Opportunities are not just focused around our academic curriculum; at Manchester Academy, we firmly believe there is more to a good education than excellent exam grades which is why we are committed to providing an Education with Character. This means that in everything we do - both inside and outside the classroom - we seek to nurture key skills that are vital for life beyond school such as team-building, resilience, creativity, public speaking and enterprise.

Manchester Academy is looking for passionate people to join our incredible team. We will support you to be brilliant and enjoy your job. Our leadership team is human and put in high presence around the Academy to support and develop colleagues. Every day our staff ‘make Manchester magic’ with our amazing students and change lives. We’d love for you to join us and be part of something you’ll never forget.
