We are looking for a Deputy Headteacher who will join the Senior Leadership Team in our highly successful International Secondary School. The school recently received ‘mastering’ status in a comprehensive external school review, recognition of the amazing education our students experience. About Tenby International Secondary School :

Tenby International Secondary School is based on the beautiful 20 acre Tenby Setia Eco Park campus in Setia Alam. We have approximately 700 students on role, including a thriving Sixth Form. We have a teaching staff of approximately 60 and a full senior leadership team of 5 others who you would work closely with. The International Secondary School follows the National Curriculum for England, and offers CIE, IGCSE and A Levels. Students and staff have access to brilliant facilities and we value being an inclusive and stimulating place to work.

On the same campus, there are three further schools: International Primary, a Malaysian Private Primary School: Sekolah Sri Tenby and a Malaysian Private Secondary School (both following the Malaysian National Curriculum and assessments). In total, the campus welcomes over 2000 amazing students, aged from 3 to 18 years and from 38 nationalities.

The Role

The exact shape of the role will be determined based on the experiences and skills of the successful applicant, but will include the following:

  • Lead on the ongoing development of the school under the four key areas of Amazing: Learning, Experiences, Community and Futures
  • Lead and manage a safe and caring school, ensuring ethos and systems are effective and followed.
  • Lead, inspire and develop middle leaders, teachers, and administrative staff in the secondary school.
  • Empower teachers to continually improve the quality of learning in the school
  • Model and contribute to the effective articulation of the story of the secondary school with focus on the principal area of responsibility.
  • Support the Head of Secondary in the growth and success of the secondary school against its KPIs.
  • To work with and contribute to the wider group and articulate the benefits.
  • Develop effective relationships based on a culture of partnership.
  • Have achieved or being working towards a Leadership Qualification such as NPQH, Masters or NPQSL (Desirable)

The Package

 This is a two-year contract with an option to renew at the end. Benefits include:

Interviews

Initial interviews will be completed through Microsoft Teams. Final interviews may be carried out face-to-face whenever possible.
