The trust has grown to include 10 academies with primary, secondary and all through as well as the Central Services and School Improvement team. Our values of excellence, integrity and resilience guide us to be the best we can be. Learners are at the heart of what we do and their outcomes and successes are what drive us.
As a Multi-Academy Trust we work in partnership with educational institutions locally to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing, which is critical to our culture of continuous improvement. Full information about the trust and its work can be found on our website www.fcat.org.uk
About Armfield Academy
Armfield Academy is an all-through school for children aged 3-16, we are an inclusive academy, which is committed to providing the best possible education for all the children within our care. We, at Armfield Academy, are committed to achieving the very best educational outcomes for every one of our learners. We do this by putting each child’s diverse, social and learning needs with the appropriate level of challenge and care at the heart of all aspects of our work. Our curriculum is ambitious and uncompromising and provides a solid foundation upon which all our students can thrive and succeed. “Leaders have created a clearly designed curriculum, which builds from when children join in their Reception Year through to the end of Year 11.” (Ofsted February 2023).
Our vision comes to life in our clearly articulated values, which are pride in our Academy; ‘An Academy to be Proud of’; respect for each other; integrity in all that we seek to achieve and the wholehearted pursuit of excellence in both academic attainment and social accomplishments, which are underpinned through promoting resilience in all our learners in all phases. In working towards making these values visible in every learner, we strive to provide a safe, healthy, stimulating and exciting environment for all to work, learn and play in, and in which access for all to a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum is free and equal. “Leaders and trustees have created a clear and ambitious vision for this school and its role in the local community. Staff and pupils understand and support this vision.” (Ofsted February 2023).
All pupils in all phases are encouraged to develop lively and enquiring minds, to be capable of independent thought and to appreciate those areas of knowledge and understanding, which will nurture wisdom, enabling them to take responsibility for themselves and their actions, and prepare them for future life, employment and happiness. Academic excellence, respect and tolerance for others, resilience, self-discipline and self-confidence form the basis of our school's philosophy.
This post represents an excellent opportunity for any individual who wishes to join a strong team at our academy as we continue our journey to becoming the very best that we can be. “Leaders have given high priority to providing pupils with information about possible careers and the next steps they may need to take to achieve them.” (Ofsted February 2023).
