Pace is seeking to appoint a Deputy Headteacher: Curriculum Assessment and Impact  to join our School Management Team.

Contract: Permanent, Full Time

Salary: Leadership Spine 2023-2024 point 1- to spine point 4 Banding depending on experience

Location: Aylesbury

In partnership with the Deputy Headteacher for wellbeing and mental health (WMH), the successful candidate will lead and manage the day to day running of Pace school, taking active steps to maintain high standards of practice.  

The Deputy Headteacher for Curriculum, Assessment and Impact (CAI) will take specific ownership and responsibility for the continued development and execution of the Pace integrated curriculum and the planning and assessment processes that sit alongside this.

With a particular focus on assessment, impact and tracking progress from baseline, this role will require particular skills and qualities in relation to IT systems and software, data collection and analysis and the ability to summarise progress data at individual, group and whole school level for a variety of stakeholders (Parents, SMT, Trustees, Ofsted, LEA, Wider audience via the school website.)

The Deputy Headteacher for CAI will be a key members of the school senior management team (SMT). They will perform the role of Lead teacher and will also be part of the welfare team. They will receive DSL training and will fulfil the role of Deputy DSL. Experience, Personal Qualities, Characteristics and skills required for this role:

o  Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

o  Up to date knowledge of SEND

o  Knowledge of national and local safeguarding guidance

o  Calm, patient positive communicator

o  Unconditional positive regard for others rooted in Pace values and habits

o  Adaptable, open minded and proactive

o  Confident and self-assured in own abilities and strengths

o  Eager and willing to reflect on own achievements and areas to develop

o  Efficient time management and prioritisation abilities

o  Excellent IT skills and confidence to proactively upskill self in latest hardware and software

o  Consistent modelling of exemplary practice in relation to the respect, care, concern and commitment to the children and their families, embodying Pace values and habits at all times
