The successful candidate will have previous safeguarding or DSL experience to support both students and families within the school community. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Pay range: NJC 36 FTE £42,593.57

Key responsibilities:

• Leading on safeguarding, undertaking the role of DDSL 
• Support staff members to carry out their safeguarding duties
• Provide support to children and families and advise on their statutory responsibilities in relation to school attendance
• Uphold public trust in school leadership and maintain high standards of ethics, safeguarding, behaviour and professional conduct

Qualifications and Skills: 

• Qualifications or experience in areas linked with children and young people, including social care or education
• Previous experience of working with children
• Experience of dealing with or supporting pastoral issues
• Experience in safeguarding children
• Good standard of general education, including GCSE equivalent in Mathematics and English
