Following the recent installation of a state of art 360 Igloo immersive screen, this is an exciting time to join us as a Digital Technology Specialist and demonstrate your passion for digital technology, specifically through the use of immersive technology. You will lead the technological vision for immersive learning, staying abreast of emerging trends and technologies, also collaborating with academic departments to integrate immersive technologies into the curriculum effectively. Here’s the standard bit: You’ll be responsible for providing ongoing support and resources for faculty to develop and implement immersive learning experiences. You will design and deliver training programs for faculty and staff to effectively utilise immersive technologies in their teaching. Also working with colleagues to evaluate the impact of immersive learning initiatives on student outcomes and make data-driven improvements.
What you’ll need: - We are looking for an enthusiastic, resilient and highly motivated individual, with a relevant Bachelor’s degree in Technologies, Computer Science, Statistics or related field. You will also need Literacy and Numeracy to at least Level 3. You will ideally have strong technical skills in VR/AR, simulation software, and other immersive technologies and familiarity with software applications development, for example using ThinkLink to develop content.
