Nexus International School Malaysia is seeking an inspirational leader to head up our highly successful Boarding House. If you have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to create a nurturing 'home away from home' for our boarders, then we want to hear from you!
Nexus is situated in Putrajaya, near Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. Established in 2008 as part of the Taylor’s Education Group, we currently enrol over 700 students from Early Years to Year 13 who learn through the IPC, IGCSE and IBDP curricula. The student population is made up of over 30 different nationalities giving our school a truly global character. Over 100 of our learners live on campus in our purpose build boarding house which was opened in 2011.
Our new Director of Boarding will lead a team of houseparents and admin staff to maintain a supportive boarding house which promotes personal responsibility and a strong sense of community. He/she will build strong links with parents and work effectively with the academic team to ensure that the needs of our boarding learners are met and that they are able to flourish academically and socially.
Our ideal candidate will have a strong background of leadership of pastoral care, ideally in a boarding setting. He/she will have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills with the ability to lead a team. He/she will be positive, flexible and have a proactive approach to running the Boarding House. The Director of Boarding is a member of the Senior Leadership Team and will have a strategic role in school improvement.
