We are seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to join our team as the Director of Teaching and Learning.

Salary : £65,158 - £69,785 plus excellent benefits


In this role, you will provide oversight, support, and guidance to inspire, innovate, and motivate our teaching and learning functions.

Your leadership will drive improvements in the quality of teaching and learning across the College, ultimately enhancing the student experience.

As Director, you will develop and deliver a clear strategic vision for teaching and learning across all areas of the College.

You will lead in the setting, monitoring, and achievement of key performance targets related to teaching and learning, ensuring high-quality standards in curriculum areas.

You will support the ongoing development of teachers, embedding an excellent approach throughout the institution.

Your ability to harness and nurture the talents and support of College members and external partners will be crucial in creating a vibrant learning community that helps students and apprentices achieve their full potential.

Additionally, you will lead the curriculum evaluation of student outcomes, including attainment, value-added outcomes, progression and destination data, and student feedback.

Oldham College was established in 1893 following a donation from the Platt family who were famously manufacturers of textile machinery. Their generosity led to the institution of the school for art and science in Oldham Town Centre.

Today we offer an extensive range of qualifications in a variety of curriculum areas including Digital & Creative, Performing Arts & Media, Financial & Professional Services, Sport, Travel & Uniformed Public Services, Construction & the Built Environment, Caring Professions and Retail & Commercial.

Alongside the Further Education base, we also provide the University Campus Oldham providing Higher Education to Post-Graduate level across a wide range of subjects.

We work closely with employers to provide relevant, high-level skills development and, ultimately highly employable students. Over recent years, we have invested over £22million in our campus and facilities. We are delighted to have three new buildings with state of the art facilities for students to use and enjoy.
