Job overview

This is a full time, 40 hours per week, permanent vacancy. The working pattern will be 5 days out of 7 with evening and weekend working required.

The Transport Department is responsible for managing all transport requirements for College. This includes transport for pupils from their boarding houses around the College campus, local journeys within Cheltenham and other journeys for their activities and to return home during the holidays.

In this role you’ll be supporting the Transport Department by undertaking work driving pupils, sometimes with chaperones, in College vehicles around College campus to local venues for appointments or for activities.

On occasions you will be required to wait at venues and act as a chaperone and keep College informed of arrangements and changes. Longer journeys will be required from time to time, as well as airport journeys on busy travel days. There will also be work driving the evening shuttle minibus, sports training and fixtures as well as academic and House trips.

A full clean driving licence with D1E category is essential and previous experience of working in a driving role within an educational environment, as well as knowledge of vehicle maintenance, is desirable.
