Job overview
We are looking to appoint a DT Technician to join our busy and friendly DT Department. We are looking for a person who will enjoy employing their skills, ideas and resourcefulness in a school renowned for its creativity. The candidate should be a dedicated and hardworking individual who would thrive in a school environment. Training can be provided.
This role would suit someone with practical experience, either at the start of their career or moving towards a teaching role. It may also be suitable for someone who has retired and has suitable skills.
The successful candidate will:
- Have the practical skills to prepare materials for practical lessons and support students in the use of machinery / equipment.
- Have a high regard for health and safety and always operate within those boundaries,
- Maintain an excellent working relationship with staff, students, parents and visitors
- Ba team player and willing to support other members of the Department
- Be proactive and have excellent organisation and communication skills
- Have a passion for DT and the Art subjects
- Be a person willing to commit to the ethos and vision of the school
- Be willing to undertake any training offered to help with their professional development
DT Technician
Salary: Grade 5 Actual Salary £21,073 - £23,438
Hours: 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year
Term Time + 5 inset days
Start Date: January 2024
