Hylands School is looking to appoint an exceptional professional who will join a successful enthusiastic and talented English faculty and be a key driver in our teaching and learning team. The role will involve teaching English at key stages 3, 4 and A level. Longer term, there are opportunities within the trust for exceptional teachers to become lead practitioners, and have the chance to challenge and support other schools.

About Hylands School
Hylands School is a mixed secondary school, with a small sixth form, for pupils aged 11-18. Located in Chelmsford, Essex, it converted to an academy in 2011 and is part of the Kemnal Academies Trust.
Hylands School’s sixth form provides students with opportunities to study a range of A-levels and BTECs, and to join a vibrant community where taking on new responsibilities contributes to social and personal development.
In 2016, Hylands School was placed in the top 100 schools for sustained improvement. Rising GCSE results in 2014 and 2015 were achieved through a culture of determination and resilience among all the staff and students. The school aims to continue this trend onwards and upwards.
