Job overview
We are currently looking to expand our bank of Nursery Practitioners who provide support to our wonderful team in our Fledglings Room (ages 2-3) and Nursery (ages 3-4).
This will include breakfast and early morning club from 7.15am – 8.30am.
Working Monday - Friday 7.15am - 1.15pm (Term Time Only)
Duties would include (but not limited to):
- Set up and provide breakfast for Nash House children
- Delivering and supervising fun and educational activities under the direction of the room leader
- Managing a daily schedule that includes activities, toilet breaks, lunch and rest time
- Observing children and taking notes learning and development to feed back to staff
- Communicating with parents and staff members
- Ensuring the safety of children
- Supporting children with toileting (in line with our intimate care policy)
- Undertaking nappy changing (under the guidance of the room leader and following intimate care policy)
- Supporting staff at meal times ensuring special diets are adhered to
- To undertake training as part of our induction process covering safeguarding, health and safety, food hygiene and preparation.
Requirements:
- Passion for working with children and a willingness to adapt to varying schedules.
- Effective communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanour
- Flexibility to work varied hours depending on the cover required
