About the School - Cumnor House Boys

Founded in 1931, Cumnor House School for Boys is an independent school which educates boys aged 2-13 years in South Croydon. Cumnor House School for Girls is an independent school which educates girls aged 2-11 years in Purley, Surrey.

The school now has an exciting opportunity for an experienced  Facilities Manager to join our fantastic team. Hours of work will be Mon-Fri, 40 hours a week (52 week contract). This will be a multisite position working across 4 Cumnor House schools in South Croydon/Purley

About the role

Reporting to the School Operations Manager, the Facilities Manager will play an integral role in the safe and efficient running of the school or schools under their remit, ensuring that the facilities and grounds deliver a brilliant student, colleague and parent experience.  

The Facilities Manager is responsible for ensuring that the school is well maintained, and the infrastructure, facilities and equipment are safe, secure and fit for purpose. They will ensure full compliance with our legal obligations and the smooth operations of our estate. You will support in all areas of Facilities, Health & Safety and Transport which will all be overseen by the School Operations Manager.

The Facilities Manager will take pride in how the school is presented, have a can-do attitude to fixing things when needed: they are the guardians of high standards.

Who we are looking for: 

The successful candidate will have experience managing facilities across multiple sites/locations and have experience managing large complex events. Key to the role is the ability to be proactive and work as part of a busy team. This role has aspects of being very customer focused at times, so exceptional levels of communication and patience is required.
