Job overview

Family Practitioner

(initially 1-year fixed term)

Abbey Manor College is a high-achieving Pupil Referral Unit located in the London Borough of Lewisham. We provide education for young people who have been permanently excluded from mainstream schools or are at risk of exclusion.

We are currently seeking to recruit a Family Practitioner to work with some of our most vulnerable students and their families. This role will be key in supporting the College's mission to deliver exceptional education to some of the borough’s most disenfranchised young people.

Our students often face challenges in mainstream settings and may present with behavioral, emotional, and social difficulties. At times, they can be both challenging and unpredictable. The ideal candidate will have a professional qualification or relevant experience in social work, health or related children’s services area. They will have a proven track record of building strong relationships with a variety of professionals, agencies, children, young people, and their families. Previous experience in a similar role is essential, and we encourage applications from individuals with relevant experience working with families in comparable situations.

Abbey Manor College is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The successful applicant will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check.

Closing date: 12pm, Friday 1st November 2024

Interviews: To be confirmed

Completed applications should be sent to d.faucher@abbeymanorcollege.com.

Abbey Manor College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS clearance.
