The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high performing team and work with the Deputy Principal Havering GFE and Group Quality Lead to develop Group improvement strategies that improve the student experience and moves the Group towards being regarded as outstanding by OFSTED and other stakeholders.

As our Group Director of Quality & Data, you play a pivotal role in the success of our students through:

  • Providing leadership and management across New City College
  • Ensuring a high level of Quality Assurance is delivered across New City College
  • Participating in the continuing development of the college through its vision and strategies
  • Producing curriculum data analysis to drive targeted curriculum quality improvement strategies

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the implementation of various Quality Assurance processes including Self-Assessment & Quality Improvement
  • Supporting the College Inspection Nominee with preparation for Ofsted
  • Working with the leadership group to develop data which supports cross college quality developments.
  • Overseeing the Learning Walk process internally and with partner providers ensuring that it is robust and accurate and leads to an outstanding student
  • Working with the Group Curriculum Director – Teaching, Learning and Development to ensure training is targeted to improvement needs.
  • Working with the Group Director Management Information Systems to ensure that the management information relating to quality is accurate, timely, reliable and complies with national funding bodies, Inspectorate and other agency
  • Providing statistical data for the services for which the post holder is responsible. 

 

Who You Are:

Ideal candidates will have demonstrable experience of leading quality inspections and reviews within education, ideally within Further Education, implementing improvement plans where required and delivering clear improvement pathways as required, alongside the following qualifications:

  • Recognised Teacher Qualification (PGCE, CertEd, QTS)
  • Degree level qualification


You must also be reliable and able to work on your own initiative and manage a multi-task workload of projects. You will need to ensure you build effective relationships with a range of stakeholders across campuses at the group level.

About New City College Havering - Ardleigh Green Campus

Havering College of Further and Higher Education College and Havering Sixth Form College are now part of the New City College Group. 

Havering Colleges’ Ardleigh Green campus is found at the junction of Ardleigh Green Road with Nelmes Way in Hornchurch. It is easily accessible by public transport and has a large car park on site.– the 256 and 294 buses stop directly outside the gates or Gidea Park and Emerson Park Stations are about a 20-minute walk. Ardleigh Green has a large car park for staff, students and visitors. 

It is the largest of the Havering campuses and houses students studying an exceptionally wide range of courses from Entry Level to Postgraduate degrees.  We have approximately 2,200 young people aged 16-19.  We also have a very small group of pre-16 students and approximately 1,200 adults enrolled here. 

Students at Ardleigh Green often progress to higher levels of study, sometimes with us, sometimes with other providers. The vast majority of our students progress to high quality positive destinations, including university, higher level apprenticeships and employment.
