Are you an outstanding practitioner ready to lead, inspire, and innovate in early childhood education? Cairo English School (CES) is seeking an exceptional Head of Early Years Foundation Stage who can bring a passion for learning, creativity, and leadership to our dynamic school community.

As Head of EYFS, you will play a pivotal role in creating a nurturing, stimulating, and high-achieving environment for our youngest learners, supporting their growth and development both academically and socially, and ensuring smooth transitions between EYFS and Key Stage 1.
Curriculum Overview: CES is guided by the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework 2021, adapted to reflect our unique Egyptian context. We seek a leader with a deep understanding of the EYFS framework and a proven ability to apply it effectively in a diverse international school setting. The successful candidate will have a record of outstanding practice, strong leadership skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and families.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- A track record of outstanding teaching and innovative curriculum delivery in EYFS.
- Expertise in creating engaging, high-quality learning environments that support excellence.
- Proven experience in monitoring provision, using data-driven insights to improve outcomes.
- Strong parental engagement and strategies for effective home-school collaboration.
- Successful implementation of assessment methods that drive student achievement.
- An ability to inspire, lead, and motivate both children and staff.
Key Skills and Knowledge Required:
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven ability to raise standards of pupil achievement and behaviour.
- Deep knowledge of how children learn and thrive in the Early Years.
- Creativity in delivering a broad, balanced, and relevant EYFS curriculum.
- Evidence of inspiring and challenging staff to achieve excellence.
- Strong team player with a positive, proactive attitude.
- Confidence in using ICT and data strategically to enhance learning.

CES PHILOSOPHY:

CES VISION - Together Achieving Personal Excellence
Curriculum:
CES teaches the National Curriculum of England and Wales, applying the same educational standards as are offered in England, with modifications attuned to our Egyptian environment. Subjects offered at CES include; English, Mathematics, Science, Art & Design, Music, Geography, History, ICT, PE, Modern Foreign Languages, Design Technology and Personal Social Health Education. English is the language of instruction at CES. Ministry of Education Arabic, Religion and Social Studies are offered from Year 1 and French from Year 3.
CES initially opened from Foundation Stage 1 to Year 9. Year 10 opened in September 2007 and the school offers IGCSE at Year 9 and 10, , A Levels and IB Diploma Programme. is offered in Years 11 and 12 in preparation for university entrance within Egypt, United Kingdom and to other countries.
The curriculum is further enriched by the addition of a Learning Support programme, English as a Second Language and a comprehensive after school extra-curricular programme and a sports teams.
Cairo English School has the physical classroom space to accommodate up to 1800 students, with the building designed to house the students on three levels – Early Years on the ground floor. Primary School on the middle floor and Secondary School on the top floor.
