This vacancy presents a unique opportunity to shape the future direction of Yarrow Heights School, a highly regarded and successful SEN provision, dedicated to providing an inspired, stimulating, and caring environment.

Yarrow Heights School is a 130 role, local authority funded, SEN day school for children aged 7-19, most of whom are able learners with an EHCP and a diagnosis with ASC/SEMH and associated needs. Yarrow Heights provides its pupils with a lively, creative, forward-thinking, and open-minded academic community equipped with excellent facilities for all subjects and activities. 

 Our ideal candidate will:

·      Be able to show commitment to SEN and have the determination, experience, skills, and knowledge to deliver the highest standards of education to outstanding levels

·      Have a proven track record of excellent teaching within a special needs' environment

·      To lead a highly experienced outstanding team of SEN teachers to deliver innovative, pedagogical practices.

·      Have experience in implementing policies into effective and successful practice.

·      Have leadership experience in a significant area or phase, including responsibility for raising standards across the school.

·      Have effective team management and collaboration skills.

·      Have strong communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse audiences through various mediums.

·      Be a successful manager of complex scenarios and conflict resolution.

·      Have experience working successfully with a range of multi-disciplinary teams and external agencies.

·      Be committed to providing every child with an exceptional educational offer, ensuring they are supported, challenged, and inspired to reach their full potential.

·      Be insistent on the highest standards in everything they do.
