Arcadia Global School, Dubai is seeking an exceptional and experienced Head of Inclusion and Designated Safeguarding Lead to join our leadership team from August 2025. The successful candidate will ensure the effective delivery of our inclusion strategy, oversee the support of students with additional needs, and lead on safeguarding across the whole school.

Requirements: 

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required with Master in Educational Leadership & Management preferred.
  • SEN Qualification is required
  • Possess relevant recent professional development that prepares the candidate for this role.
  • Thorough understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures, with prior experience as a DSL or equivalent.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills. 

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the inclusion team, ensuring effective support for SEND, ELL, and Gifted & Talented students.
  • Serve as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring compliance with safeguarding regulations and promoting a culture of safety.
  • Provide professional development for staff on inclusion and safeguarding practices.
  • Ensure that teachers have access to the appropriate initial, in service and ongoing training and support necessary to work effectively in common learning environments with students identified has experiencing SEND
  • Work with admissions team and SLT to ensure all prospective students are accurately assessed prior to entry
  •  Collaborating with admissions department on writing conditional offers for students with SEN
  • Manage the inclusion register and associated documents to ensure accuracy and transparency
  • Monitor and address issues related to bullying, harassment, and discrimination, ensuring a safe and inclusive school environment
