We’re looking to recruit a Head of Primary Music to join The British School of Guangzhou, a Nord Anglia Education school.
THE ROLE
Music falls within the Performing Arts Faculty which is co-led by our Primary and Secondary Heads of Music. As a Juilliard School, we have access to a unique support system and set of resources. We’ll look to you to promote high expectations for our students, designing learning activities that are aligned to our school’s curriculum and creating a learning culture where there are no limits to what can be achieved. You will foster an environment of respect within the classroom, facilitating learning through questioning and discussion.
ABOUT YOU
The successful applicant will be joining a team of enthusiastic teachers across both our South Lake and Olympic Park campuses. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Early Years or Primary practitioner who may also be looking for leadership opportunities as you help to develop our well-established school. You will be able to adapt quickly to our fast-paced international environment, you will possess a university degree, a recognised teaching qualification and considerable teaching experience, preferably in a high achieving National Curriculum school.

OUR GLOBAL ACADEMIC RESULTS
The 2023-2024 academic year was the strongest ever in terms of BSG’s academic results. In A-levels, our students achieved 69% of grades at A*-A, along with 82% at A*-B. In IGCSE, BSG students achieved an outstanding set of results, with 60% of grades at 9 – 7 for the year and 92% at 9 – 4.
