An opportunity has arisen for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to provide support for pupils with their social and emotional development and mental well-being.

About the role

To undertake work, care and support programmes to enable access to learning for pupils and to assist in the management of pupils and the classroom.

To work under the instruction and guidance of the SLT team to lead the delivery of school council, pastoral interventions, and to help raise standards of achievement for all pupils.

To be an advocate for the school ethos, mission and values, as shown on the website.

To support pupils with routines, transitions and behaviour management.

To support families with advice, attend professional meetings and support where necessary. Working closely with the assistant head, who oversees the family support role.

Please note that this is a Maternity Cover role until July 2025.

About us

Arc School Napton, part of Kedleston Group, is an independent specialist primary school in Napton, for children and young people aged between the ages of 5 and 11. We provide a safe learning environment for children and young people with educational and social needs which are associated with the challenges of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), attachment disorder (AD), autism (ASC), dyslexia and dyspraxia. Some children have social emotional and mental health needs. (SEMH).

We look for people to join our staff team who have the creativity and enthusiasm needed to deliver the best outcomes for the children and young people.
