Your opportunity

We are looking for a new HLTA/Cover Supervisor member to enable us to support growth and learning. At Lime tree, we pride ourselves on the commitment and dedication of the entire staff body and we proudly promote our passion and desire to assist in the educational development and enhancement of each and every child within our school. We are looking for individuals that are passionate, enthusiastic and committed to a career within education and childcare.

The successful candidates will work alongside and support the class teachers across the whole school to ensure that the children you are supporting are accessing the curriculum and making positive progress in all aspects of their learning. You will liaise closely to ensure that effective support is delivered, during class or play.

About Lime Tree Primary School

Our School sits within a newly established cluster of schools, overseen by a Regional Director. Along with Limetree, our cluster includes the following other schools; Southgate Primary School, Forge Wood Primary School, Kilnwood Vale Primary School, Greenway Junior School, Salfords Primary School, Merstham Primary School .

We have an exciting opportunity for a learning support assistant to join our Ofsted rated ' Outstanding' Primary School Lime Tree Primary school opened in September 2013 and, since opening, we have had a lot of achievements to celebrate. What we are looking for

  • To ensure effective teaching following the teacher’s planning so children learn as effectively as possible.
  • Clarifying and explaining instructions.
  • Ensuring the resources support the learning and the children are able to use equipment and materials provided.
  • Motivating and encouraging the children as required by providing levels of individual attention, reassurance and help with learning tasks as appropriate to children’s needs.
  • Be interested in a career within the school setting and working with children.
  • Be able to stay calm and objective when presented with unusual or challenging behaviour.
  • Be enthusiastic and committed to working as part of a team.
  • Be a confident and clear communicator.
  • Be committed to their development and learning.

The Details

Hours: Full Time Term Time Only 33.5 per week 39 weeks per year Mon - Fri 8.30- 3.30 (4.30 Wednesdays)  

Salary: GLF Specialist £24,982 - £33,592 FTE (pro rata £19,999 - £26,892 )

Start Date: - Sep 2024
