Maiden Erlegh School are looking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant with experience in supporting young people in a secondary school setting. The role is instrumental to helping students close the gap in their learning journey.
Skill and experience required for this role include:
- Experience of working with secondary school-aged students.
- Higher Level Teaching Assistant standards or equivalent qualification or experience.
- Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths.
- Training in relevant learning strategies e.g., literacy strategy.
- Specialist skills/training in curriculum or learning area e.g., sign language, ICT, EAL.
- Good understanding of child development and learning processes.
- Knowledge of National Curriculum and the standard work expected from students.
The successful applicant will enjoy working with 11-18-year-olds. You must be adaptable and willing to be involved in all aspects of school life, have a calm manner and be able to work as part of team.
