Oliver House School are recruiting for a Cleaner to join our team! We are looking for passionate people to make sure our sites are safe and comfortable, whilst covering all aspects of housekeeping. You will will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the school and will have a flexible approach and be able to respond quickly to requests for assistance.

Oliver House School is an independent specialist day and residential school for boys and girls aged 6 to 19 who have mild, moderate and severe autism conditions and associated complex learning needs and challenging behaviour.


We are looking for a dedicated individual who can ensure the highest standard of hygiene and cleanliness in our School - the role will include duties such as:

  • Thorough cleaning of all areas of the School.
  • Follow daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedule to ensure all areas of cleaning are covered.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure all pupils and staff are kept safe.

The successful candidate will have experience of daily cleaning schedules and ensure appropriate paperwork in completed and a good knowledge of health and safety legislation applicable to the role.

Oliver House School is a specialist day and residential school for boys and girls aged 6 to 19 who have mild, moderate and severe autistic spectrum conditions and associated learning difficulties. Children may also have challenging behaviour as a result of their difficulties and their lack of social understanding.

Oliver House School delivers the highest level of education and care according to individual need in a safe, positive and structured environment in which every pupil is encouraged to achieve the best possible academic, social and vocational outcomes.

Many of the pupils at Oliver House School may have been out of education for considerable periods of time which is why we make it our aim to encourage our pupils to be happy to attend school on a daily basis, with the help and support of our dedicated team of staff.

Placements can either be on a day, residential or respite basis for up to 52 weeks of the year depending on individual need. All of the young people referred to the school will have a Statement of Special Educational Need. Oliver House School can provide places for up to 40 pupils.
