Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Humanities Teacher with a strong background in KS3 Social Studies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons that encourage students to understand social, cultural, and historical contexts.


 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive KS3 Social Studies curriculum that meets educational standards and student needs.
  • Opportunity to teach additional Humanities subjects, including Travel and Tourism at IGCSE and A Level.
  • Create engaging lesson plans that promote critical thinking, discussion, and student participation.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, projects, and examinations.
  • Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages respect, curiosity, and collaboration among students.
  • Integrate technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance learning experiences.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary projects and activities.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and well-being.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.


 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Humanities, Social Studies, Education, or a related field.
  • Teaching certification or license for secondary education.
  • Proven experience teaching KS3 Social Studies or related subjects.
  • Strong understanding of the KS3 curriculum and assessment methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.

  • Experience with project-based learning and inquiry-based teaching methods.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Adaptability and a willingness to embrace new technologies and teaching methods.
  • A collaborative team player who is committed to student success and community engagement.
