Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and visionary educator to join our team as the IB Diploma Programme Coordinator. This leadership role offers a unique opportunity to shape and enhance the educational experience for our students, ensuring the successful implementation and growth of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of the IB philosophy, strong organizational and communication skills, and a passion for fostering academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Programme Leadership:
- Provide visionary leadership for the IB Diploma Programme, overseeing its successful implementation and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with faculty to ensure alignment of curriculum, assessment, and teaching practices with IB standards.
2. Teacher Support and Professional Development:
- Support and guide DP teachers in the effective delivery of the curriculum.
- Organize and facilitate professional development opportunities to enhance the skills and knowledge of DP faculty.
3. Student Support:
- Work closely with the team to provide academic and personal support to DP students.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes the holistic development of students.
4. Curriculum Development and Review:
- Lead the review and development of the DP curriculum in collaboration with teachers.
- Stay updated on IB regulations and updates, ensuring compliance and quality assurance.
5. Assessment and Examination Management:
- Manage the organization and administration of DP assessments and examinations.
- Collaborate with examiners and ensure adherence to IB assessment standards.
6. Community Engagement:
- Build strong relationships with parents, students, and the wider community to enhance understanding and support for the DP.
- Act as a liaison between the school and the IB organization.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Master's degree in Education or a related field.
- Experience with the IB Diploma Programme.
- Advanced English language (at least C1 required).
- Previous experience as an IB DP Coordinator or similar leadership roles.
- Knowledge of IB regulations, assessment practices, and curriculum development.
