Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced educator to teach IB Diploma Programme (DP) Biology and Environmental Systems and Societies (ESS). The successful candidate will be passionate about inspiring students to explore the natural world and its systems, fostering their understanding of complex scientific concepts and environmental issues. This role requires a deep understanding of the IB curriculum and a commitment to inquiry-based teaching.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons in line with the IB DP Biology and ESS curricula
  • Develop students' critical thinking, research, and analytical skills through inquiry-based learning
  • Facilitate internal and external assessments, ensuring students meet IB requirements
  • Guide students through their Internal Assessments (IAs) and Extended Essays in Biology or ESS
  • Foster an inclusive and stimulating learning environment where students feel empowered to explore and question
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate interdisciplinary approaches and contribute to the school’s academic community
  • Participate actively in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and school-wide initiatives
  • Support and mentor students in their personal and academic growth


Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Biology, Environmental Science, or a related field
  • Teaching certification and at least 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international or IB context
  • Demonstrated expertise in teaching IB DP Biology and/or ESS, with a solid understanding of IB philosophy
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to engage students of diverse cultural and academic backgrounds
  • Experience guiding students in research-based projects, such as Internal Assessments and Extended Essays
