What will you do on a day-to-day basis?
- The successful candidate will:
- Be experienced in teaching senior school Physics. Experience of DP teaching Mathematics would be valuable.
- Have experience of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Years Programme and/or the Middle Years Programme and IB philosophy.
- Be responsible for collaborating on curriculum design, including the development of concept-based units of inquiry with authentic assessment tasks.
- Be able to engage, and differentiate for the needs of, students at all levels
- Be interested in using a constructivist approach to learning and developing autonomous learners.
- Be enthusiastic about promoting international-mindedness and service learning.
- Be committed to high standards of organisation
- Be visible and approachable, with excellent interpersonal skills and a good sense of humour
- Be flexible, creative and resilient.
- Be a collaborative team member who is keen to support the development of the wider school community.
What will you bring to the table?
- The ideal candidate for this role will have the following skills, experience and qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Education or other relevant degree with teaching qualification
- Relevant international teaching experience
- Fluent in English (verbal and written)
- An innovator, committed to learning and keeping up to date with current research
- An inspiring, challenging, and empowering educator
- Able to demonstrate creativity, compassion and a desire to make a difference in the learning of our children
