Job overview

Rarely Available - Senior Leadership position at Two Waters Primary School

Our current Year 6 teacher is off to pastures new as a Literacy Consultant for HfL – and we couldn’t be prouder. We are therefore looking for another inspirational, experienced teacher who can continue to drive the high standards of speaking, listening, reading and writing across our school.

This is a fantastic opportunity to drive an exciting and diverse literacy curriculum from EYFS to Year 6, based on the premise of creating ‘memorable learning experiences’ for all children. With a sound knowledge of how children learn (we embrace Rosenshine’s Principles as our underpinning pedagogy), the successful candidate will be able to show how they excel at ensuring every pupil reaches their potential, instilling a lifelong love of learning and giving children the confidence to take risks and develop resilience in preparation for the rapidly changing world ahead.

Applicants should be passionate about developing others. With two ECTs in the KS2 team, candidates will be able to provide excellent development and support to enable them, and the whole key stage, to deliver the very best teaching and learning for our pupils. Our children genuinely embody the school’s ethos of ‘proud to achieve, proud to care’. Attainment, effort and behaviour are equally valued and continual acts of kindness are seen throughout our community. Pupils are keen to learn and participate enthusiastically throughout the school day.

Professional development is a priority at Two Waters. With nearly 50% of staff involved in professional qualifications over the past year (from SENCo awards to NPQs), candidates can rest assured that they will be fully supported to continue their own professional journey at Two Waters.

Please come and visit us. Take the opportunity to speak to our outgoing Literacy / KS2 lead, Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher. If you are available during the working day, you’ll have the opportunity to meet our fantastic children.

Two Waters School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Safeguarding checks will be undertaken in line with KCSIE and may include a social media check. References will be sought for all applicants invited to interview. This post is subject to Health and enhanced DBS checks.

Visits to our school are strongly encouraged and warmly welcomed. Please contact the school office on 01442 217893 to arrange a convenient time.

We reserve the right to make an appointment before the closing date, so early applications are encouraged.
