Equitas Academies Trust was formed in September 2012 and incorporates Chilwell Croft Academy (Primary) and Aston Manor Academy (Secondary). Both Academies are happy, exciting, and inspiring learning environments for their children who are from a vibrant mix of cultures. The staff and Trustees have a great sense of pride in their schools and care passionately about the pupils they serve.

Chilwell Croft Academy is a good school that seeks to continually improve, well supported by staff and parents alike. The Academy has made an extremely positive journey over the last few years and the Academy leaders and staff place a strong emphasis on positive attitudes, high-quality learning, and a strong team approach. Consequently, the school received an Ofsted rating of ‘Good’ in Jan 2019 and had an ungraded inspection in April 2024 where the Ofsted report confirmed that the school’s motto, ‘All different, all equal, all achieving’, is fully embraced, and pupils feel accepted for who they are without fear of being judged. Pupils enjoy learning and having fun, thanks to staff who ensure that there are positive experiences both in and outside the classroom.

To assist the Academy in our continued positive journey, we are seeking to appoint an outstanding classroom teacher who is committed to working in a diverse and rewarding inner-city school. The successful candidate will need to be enthusiastic, passionate, use their initiative, act on their own ideas and be aspirational. They will be able to demonstrate a passion for developing and extending potential in our pupils by recognising and nurturing individual qualities and strengths, understanding how children learn, thus being part of the team helping Chilwell Croft Academy to become an outstanding Academy of the future. This role requires you to be committed to working in partnership with parents, and have a positive understanding and committed to continuous provision working. This is an exciting post where the successful postholder will seek to broaden pupil’s experiences by arranging external and internal activities to improve mathematics ability. With responsibility for this TLR, you will support and coach staff to ensure confidence in delivering and supporting their children in mathematics and be seen as the school’s best practice adviser, advocating for the subject and promoting the love of mathematics to all.

All Different, All Equal, All Achieving

Chilwell Croft Academy is a very happy and improving school for children aged four to eleven.  The school currently has children on roll representing over 30 nationalities, speaking 40 different languages.     We are proud to be part of a multicultural community, and actively celebrate the diversity of our school.

Our aim is to provide an environment where children can make progress academically and develop personally. Everything we do is focused on this.

We spend a lot of time and effort developing the culture of our school. The physical environment is welcoming and orderly – our artist in residence works with children to show off their art skills and this is exhibited throughout the school. Our pupils learn to behave, have a good attitude to learning and respect each other. Every pupil has a planner and is a member of a house team in order to help them do this. Pupils take pride in their work as evidenced by the presentation in their books. They value our rewards system and say they feel safe in school.

Developing the highest quality teaching lies at the heart of our school improvement agenda. We celebrate success and share good practice whenever we can.     We are very proud of our pupils and their families. Here, every child is truly valued for his or her contribution and encouraged to grow in confidence. A real strength of our school are the very positive relationships between staff and pupils and within peer groups.

You are more than welcome to come and visit us at any time, arrangements can be made by contacting the school on 0121 464 3402
