Trinity Academy Leeds

Leadership L1 - L12 (£49,781 - £65,286)

This is an exciting time to join the founding team of an exceptional school, Trinity Academy Leeds, as it continues to grow and develop. Trinity Academy Leeds opened its doors in September 2021 and is now on its fourth year with currently 965 students from across the city and has already established a strong culture of excellence where all staff are united under the same shared mission, to enrich and strengthen the life choices and chances of the young people in east Leeds and beyond.

Trinity Academy Leeds is part of a wider family of schools, Trinity Multi Academy Trust. TMAT is proud to have transformed the life chances of thousands of pupils across its existing academies, and our core values of Empathy, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility run through all aspects of academy life. Our secondary schools consistently achieve academic results which place them in the top 10% of highest performing schools in the country and receive national and international recognition for the quality of their provision.

We are now looking to appoint a Lead Teacher (Science Specialism). This is a unique opportunity to join our academy’s staff team; an opportunity to help shape, design and grow a school ethos and community as it continues on its journey. We are looking for a strong practitioner who is passionate about developing the practice of others through coaching and modelling at an individual and strategic level. Our ideal candidate has experience in leading teams of subject experts at a whole school level and will have a keen interest in research, pedagogical approach and curriculum design. In addition to a strong level of subject and pedagogical expertise, they set high standards for student behaviour and focus, and are organised and reliable. This is an exciting time to join a motivated, friendly and mission aligned founding team in a growing school community with many opportunities to develop in the future.

What we can offer:

  • Full support from a dedicated team of senior leaders from around the trust
  • A first class Behaviour for Learning system
  • Excelling teaching resources
  • Career progression and cross-trust working
  • A healthy and transparent working environment underpinned by genuine teamship
  • An excellent CPD package for all staff, including a further comprehensive programme of processional development provided through the Trinity Institute of Education
  • A range of staff benefits, including a Cycle to Work scheme, reduced cost health cover and confidential counselling service

You must be fully committed to optimising the opportunities that are available to children and young people, secure in the knowledge that you will be joining an ambitious forward-thinking Academy Trust that sets the standards for our family of schools and academies.

We are holding a recruitment evening on Wednesday 15th January 2025 (5.00pm – 7.00pm) where you will have the opportunity to look around our school, meet some of our amazing team and learn more about the opportunities on offer. Due to the increased population in Leeds, particularly in young people of school age, there is a shortage of secondary school places which will last for the foreseeable future. To overcome this problem, Leeds City Council  committed to opening a new school in September 2021 and have chosen Trinity Multi Academy Trust as their preferred sponsor.

Trinity MAT is proud to have transformed the life chances of thousands of pupils across its existing academies, and we are equipped and eager to do the same for those in Leeds. Our MAT core values of Empathy, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility run through all aspects of academy life.

We welcome students of all faiths and none, these values relate to everyone regardless of faith or background.

Drawing from the success and expertise of organisations across our high performing MAT, we will ensure that children are supported both academically and pastorally to secure the brightest of futures.

Our secondary schools consistently achieve academic results which place them in the top 10% of highest performing schools in the country and receive national and international recognition for the quality of their provision.

This success will be replicated at Trinity Academy Leeds where every young person will benefit from outstanding teaching and an inspirational curriculum.

Trinity Academy Leeds is a new modern building which initially opened in September 2021 for 240 year 7 students, providing state of the art facilities to match our curriculum and ambition for young people in Leeds.
