We are a comprehensive inner London secondary school with a diverse intake of students from a wide variety of backgrounds and cultures. We were graded as Good in all aspects during our last Ofsted Inspection (April 2023).
We are looking to appoint an experienced Learning Support Assistant to provide Literacy and Numeracy Support of our identified students. Your role will support classroom based learning and small group interventions.
You should have a good working knowledge, understanding and experience of the following;
● Secondary School Curriculum
● One to one and small group work supporting pupils with SEND
● Excellent Numeracy and Literacy Skills
● Hold a graduate degree /NVQ Level 3
● A minimum of two years’ experience working with children in an educational setting.

Arts & Media School Islington is a co-educational, comprehensive trust foundation school in north Islington, London.
The Victorian school building was originally home to Montem Street School, later becoming known as Tollington Park Secondary School and, more recently, as George Orwell School.
In 2014, Arts & Media School Islington was selected to be one of 12 schools in London to participate in the Music in Secondary Schools Trust (MISST) programme, which aims to develop team-working skills, improve discipline and enrich the learning of students through the creativity of music.
Key stage 3 students at Arts & Media School Islington receive an orchestral string instrument alongside compulsory musical education for three years, all free of charge.
