The school now has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our fantastic team. This role is a Part-Time, Fixed Term Contract until April 2025.

About the role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will assist in promoting the education and welfare of pupils, having regard to the aims and objectives of Little Downsend School and its policies. You will also work under the direct instruction of the SENCO, to support individuals and small groups within and outside the classroom.

Who we are looking for

As the ideal candidate, you will have GCSE (or equivalent) in English, experience of working in a school setting and knowledge and understanding of child development and learning. Additionally, you are able to work with others to provide excellent support for pupils, have a commitment to the provision of high quality learning in Early Years and KS1 as well as other practical knowledge or experience relevant to the role. A Level 3 Diploma in supporting teaching and learning for children with special needs is desirable, but not essential.
