Central Saint Michael’s Sixth Form College is changing the face of A Level provision in Sandwell. Since opening in September 2012, the sixth form has grown to over 500 AS, A Level and Diploma students. We are based in a unique dedicated sixth form in art centre formally known as ‘The Public’ in the middle of West Bromwich. This means Central Sixth is an exciting place to work and develop your career.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, well qualified and dedicated Lecturer Geography to join us on a part-time, permanent basis.

Responsibilities

As a Geography Lecturer, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons that cover a range of geographical topics. Your role will include preparing lesson plans, assessing student progress, and fostering a stimulating classroom atmosphere. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of the geography curriculum and participate in extracurricular activities that enhance the students' learning experience.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in geography, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for teaching.

To be successful, you will hold a degree and/or appropriate professional qualification relevant to the department as well as a Certificate in Education or Level 5 Teaching Qualification. You will have experience of excellent teaching and learning practice on work-based programmes and the ability to teach using diverse methods and adapt to needs of particular student groups.
