Job overview

University College Birmingham is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Lecturer within our Further Education provision to teach on a range of Health programmes, primarily science subjects which includes:

 

•          Science Investigation Skills

•          Laboratory Techniques and their Application

•          Genetics and genetic engineering

•          Cell Metabolism

•          The Human Muscular and Skeletal Systems

 

You will join a committed team of professionals with a range of skills and experience from the Health and Social Care sector, both with experience of teaching FE and working in industry. Our goal is to prepare all of our students for the world of work, both now and in years to come and we are passionate about providing the qualifications and training that local employers and communities need.

 

We are based in central Birmingham, and we have excellent facilities within the institution. Our team benefits from full use of our Health Hub allowing students and lecturers to work together in an authentic environment, preparing and refining skills for practice.

 

You will have previous experience of teaching in FE or evidence of coaching or mentoring in a professional setting, this will be supported by industry experience.  You will hold a level 3 qualification and a teaching qualification or be willing to achieve one supported by the University.
