Salary: £30,620 - £47,331 (Pro rata) Upper pay range points UP2 and UP3 are subject to evidence of previous progression to Upper Pay Spine (this is the full time salary, salary will be pro rata depending on working pattern)
Coleg Cambria is seeking a dedicated Lecturer in Physics to join our team at Deeside 6th. In this role, you will deliver engaging teaching sessions, prepare learning materials, and mark students’ work following the WJEC AS and A2 specification. You will also provide educational support, act as a personal tutor, and assist in student recruitment and interviewing.
Administrative tasks include completing documentation such as registers, schemes of work, and student reports. Adhering to quality systems to improve retention, recruitment, and achievement targets in line with College policy is essential.
The successful candidate will engage in the college’s self-assessment procedures, participate in external inspections and audits, and monitor learning sessions through teaching observations. Additionally, you may help organise special functions and events within the Business Area. Essential Requirements
- A minimum of a Level 5 teaching qualification (e.g Cert Ed/PGCE) or be working towards a Level 5 teaching qualification.
- Educated to a minimum Level 6 qualification
- Demonstrate an understanding of current developments within your own specialist area and ways of keeping up to date with such developments
- Knowledge of the broad range of learning needs and how to support these needs within a learning environment
Welsh language skills are desirable for this position.
