We are looking to appoint a Librarian with a passion for literature who will promote a culture of reading amongst pupils at Derby Grammar School, ensuring each pupil is supported to broaden his or her cultural capital and achieve academic excellence. Starting in September 2024 you will be based in our stunning, newly refurbished library.

Derby Grammar School is co-educational independent school that has provided excellent schooling to pupils from Derby and across the County. Our school setting dates back to the 18th century and is surrounded by extensive grounds.

Established in 1995, Derby Grammar School is a leading independent school for children aged between 4 and 18. Located in the Derbyshire suburbs of Littleover our secluded grounds provide the perfect setting for a first-class educational experience.

The main role will be to be based in the library, managing the physical space, supervising pupils, managing the library catalogue and Accelerated Reader programme, and supporting pupils and staff with library resources. The ability to offer co-curricular activities would be an advantage.
