An exciting opportunity has arisen for a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher and leader to join our new Preston Site from September.

We welcome applicants who wish to:

  • Lead and inspire a dedicated team of educators to deliver outstanding teaching and learning experiences.

  • Drive the strategic vision of the school while maintaining a focus on the core values of independence, integrity, and excellence.
  • Collaborate with parents, governors, and the wider community to strengthen relationships and build a supportive, engaged school culture.
  • Ensure the effective management of resources, budgets, and staffing to ensure the school’s operational efficiency and growth.
  • Provide leadership in curriculum development and ensure that teaching practices remain innovative, student-centered, and responsive to changing educational needs.
  • Cultivate a safe, positive, and engaging school environment that upholds high standards of behavior, respect, and inclusivity.
  • Champion professional development and support the growth of teaching staff to continuously enhance their skills and performance.
  • Maintain a strong focus on student outcomes, using data to inform decisions and continually improve the quality of education provided.
  • Lead initiatives that advance the school’s reputation, both locally and nationally, and help position the school as a leader in independent education.
  • Advocate for the school’s mission, vision, and values, ensuring they are embedded in all aspects of school life and leadership.  


You will be joining a team who firmly believe that there are no limits to what our young people can achieve. 

Lancashire Alternative Provision is a dynamic 11-15 school supporting children who need an alternative approach to education. The school comprises of up to 20 students. Although we are proud of the achievement of our students, we are not complacent about the challenges that lie ahead and are constantly seeking ways to further improve the quality of our offering to our young people because we know the transformative impact that a good quality education can have on their life chances.
