SCALE: Scale 5, point 12
HOURS & PAY: 14 Hours per week, term time only plus 8 days in summer holidays. Part-time hours are negotiable.

WORKING COLLABORATIVELY WITH: The full-time Marketing Assistant
OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE:
To implement a comprehensive Marketing and Recruitment strategy in order to grow the student roll of the Academy and the positive perception of the Academy as a brand amongst all stakeholders. As a passionate marketing assistant, with the ability to work with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders, you will provide a vital link between parents and carers, young people, staff, local schools and external employer partners.
Marketing
Responsible for the delivery of the annual marketing plan in line with the agreed strategy
alongside SLT. This will include:
- Being the primary point of contact in booking, arranging and co-ordinating all outreach activity including, school visits, careers fairs, community events, industry opportunities
- Producing engaging marketing materials/content and copy including social media, video, website updates and print materials
- Seeking out and writing content for social media
- Managing advertising, including Digital advertising
- Responsible for regular reporting of marketing activity to the SLT, including analysis of all relevant data to inform recruitment strategies (e.g. website stats, admissions data, survey data)
- Be a Brand Guardian, ensuring that information remains consistent across all internal and external communications be that the website, social media, newsletters, video or printed materials.
- Play a key role in the delivery of open days and other internal and external admissions and promotional events including representing the Academy at external pupil recruitment events.
- Recruit and train a team of student and alumni ‘Global Ambassadors’ to support with the delivery of recruitment activities.
- Purchase marketing materials and promotional merchandise as and when required.
Recruitment and Admissions
- Regular reporting and analysis of admissions data to the SLT and Governors to better inform the Admissions process
- Implementing effective follow up systems for all enquires, tours, registrations and offers to ensure conversion and retention during the Admissions process
- Co-ordinating individual visits to the Academy for prospective parents and students and meeting with them
- Managing all in year admission enquiries
- Produce, develop and lead a high impact Keep Warm Strategy to engage with students as they move through the admissions process, including events, tours, digital communications and summer activities.
- Develop and own strong relationships and effective communications with external stakeholders, to further drive admissions. This will include feeder schools, the local authority and the Baker Dearing Trust.
- Attending events which take place outside the normal working day including Open Mornings, Sixth Form Evening, and student applicant Taster Events
- In order to ensure that all of the above works well, attend a weekly marketing meeting with the Principal.
Employer Engagement
- To support senior and middle leaders in the development of relationships with employers and universities, with the aim of securing high quality employer and university engagement experiences for all students.
- To support the work experience process, assisting in securing placements and coordinating the process of bespoke work experience placements for individual students
- To maintain excellent relations with employers through regular keeping in touch activities.
- To play a key role in the delivery of open days and other internal and external promotional events involving employer and university partners
- To assist in the recruitment of employer and university partners to work with the Academy and its students
Other duties
- Assist in supporting the staff in the main school office during particularly busy periods. This job description may be amended at any time after consultation with the post holder.
